Charity Football Pool – Week #5 Update

Charity Football Image REV 9.2

Only 2 games on the Week #5 schedule actually mattered to our remaining pool players with 3 players picking Atlanta over Washington and 2 players selecting the NY Giants over San Francisco. But I have to think those games drove everyone to hide behind their couches as they went down the stretch.

In Atlanta, after trailing the Redskins for most of the game the Falcons took a late lead only to see the Skins come right back and tie it with a long FG as regulation time expired. In OT the Falcons prevailed courtesy of a Kirk Cousins INT that Atlanta returned for an easy, game-winning TD.

The Giants, who waged a back-and-forth battle with the 49ers late into Sunday night, saw San Francisco take a 4 point lead with only 1:45 left in the game. But Eli Manning lead the Giants on an 82-yard drive that culminated in a 12-yard, game winning TD pass with only 21 seconds to go.

Week #5 by the numbers:
5 players began Week #5
0 eliminated
5 advance to Week #6
