Charity Football Pool – Week #6 Update

Charity Football Image REV 9.2For the second week in a row, Week #6 saw all 5 of our remaining players survive despite some very anxious moments.

The 3 players who picked Green Bay over San Diego must have watched in horror as the Chargers, trailing by 7, took their final possession 77 yards to a first and goal from the Packers 3 yard line. But that was as far as San Diego would get, as the Green Bay defense rose up and stymied the Chargers on 4 straight plays to preserve the win as well as a 6-0 start.

Another player sweated out an even more frightening scenario when his pick, the Denver Broncos, needed more than 10 minutes of OVERTIME to finally dispatch the enigmatic Cleveland Browns.

Our final player had it only a little easier as New England’s defeat of Indianapolis on Sunday night wasn’t locked up until the Pats covered Indy’s onside kick with 1:19 remaining after the Colts cut a 13-point deficit down to 7.

Week #6 by the numbers:
5 players began Week #6
0 eliminated
5 advance to Week #7

SCHEDULE NOTE: The Week #7 game between Buffalo and Jacksonville will kick off at 9:30 AM E.T. from London. If you wish to pick that game you’ll have to submit your pick early. However, all other Sunday games will adhere to the usual 1:00 PM E.T. deadline.
